Why this exists

A note from the founder

I made CÂLINE for my own children. I kept finding plush baby washcloths made with polyester or microfiber, and I wanted an organic cotton option with proof.

So this is the real thing: GOTS-certified organic cotton, verified from the field to the finished cloth, with the certificate number printed on every tag. I know you read labels late at night. So do I.

What if they're not right for us?
Unused sets can be returned within 30 days of delivery — just reply to your order email and we'll get it started. Return shipping is covered by the customer.
How do I care for them?
Machine wash warm with like colors, tumble dry low, and skip fabric softener — it coats the fibers and reduces absorbency. They get softer with every wash.
Why certified organic cotton instead of an ordinary washcloth?
Organic standards prohibit most synthetic pesticides, while GOTS also restricts hazardous inputs throughout textile processing and independently verifies the certified supply chain. An ordinary washcloth cannot make that same certified claim.
Do the washcloths contain polyester or microfiber?
No. The cloth and thread are 100% organic cotton, with no polyester or synthetic blends.
What makes these feel so soft?
Plush organic cotton terry loops create a soft, absorbent surface. Wash warm, tumble dry low and skip fabric softener to help preserve softness and absorbency.
